In adapted conditions due to COVID-19, we held another business education event that brought together the business community of managers, leaders and HR experts. This time live in the premises of Triglav Lab and online.

Through lectures, musical interpretation and culinary tasting, we learned about the dimensions of human potential for achieving business excellence.

BEEP Talk & Sounds Nº3 offered answers to the challenges, including COVID-19, that more and more organizations are facing:

“How to encourage, develop and realize the potential of employees in the workplace?”

Through the prism of sustainable HR, experts have well discussed how a growth mindset, concern for the health and well-being of employees and the promotion of an agile work environment contribute to the development of human potential in organizations.

MINDSET: A way of thinking that promotes development

  • Managing a business during uncertainty and tough global challenges demands a shift in our mindset, how we lead and how we manage human-capital risk. 
  • People are the company’s real competitive advantage, and they need more than a paycheck to stay. Yet, employees also have an invaluable insight into the current reality, which is what predicts and shapes the future of the business success.

WELLBEING: Skrb za zdravje in splošno dobro počutje

It has probably happened to you that you came home from work in the evening tired and hungry. You managed to stick with it and eat healthy all day, but you gave up in the evening. Don’t be surprised if you can’t rationally convince yourself that it’s not best to eat a sandwich and ice cream in front of the TV in the evening. Contrary to popular belief, it’s not all in the head, and even rationalizing what you do almost never bears fruit. In the evening, when you are tired, countless processes take place in your body that make it impossible for you to make decisions according to your common sense. What happens in the body, what is the reason why we cannot resist a sandwich in the evening, even though we eat it so easily for breakfast or lunch, and how to avoid it, you will learn in the lecture entitled: What happens to my will in the evening ?

Health is No. 1 value in Slovenia. Yet the data on absenteeism is not encouraging, covering only a part of ill-health picture in the working environment. Creating and nurturing health at work takes proactive approach from both leaders and employees. Aiming to remove the root cause of ill-health, the presentation shows key steps to do it yourself.

– Agile and self-organization: known for decades, practiced by thousands, yet still widely misunderstood.

– Growth and development needs to be owned by top leadership, understood and supported by HR, but owned on the top.

– Inner game runs the outer game, you cannot hope or expect to be the same person, if you want to significantly improve.

– Leadership is a decision and an enduring disciplined practice in self-awareness and adjustment. Mindfulness helps a lot.

– Executing diligently and consistently is not natural to most homo sapiens, that’s why we have unnatural ceremonies. That work.
